The 5 Best Fruits For Constipation

Digestive problems are becoming ever more frequent in the modern world. In part this is because of the lifestyle people are living. The lack of exercise in combination with the lack of fiber and fluids from one’s diet leads to many different digestive problems. The most frequent of these is constipation.

The good thing about constipation is that usually it is very easily solved through some small changes in one’s diet. These mainly relate to getting the 25 to 38 grams of fiber that are required daily. To do so easily you can simply include the following five fruits into your diet.

  1. Pears

Medium-sized pairs have around 5.52 grams of fiber. The skin in particular is extremely healthy as it is rich in insoluble fiber. If you choose to eat them with the skin make sure to thoroughly wash the pears you are buying.

  1. Dragonfruit

In contrast to pairs, dragonfruit’s skin is inedible. However, once you cut one in half and start consuming the flesh which is rich in seeds, you will probably get around 5 grams of fiber. The little seeds will also help with constipation.

  1. Apples

Much like pears, apples when consumed with the skin are extremely high in fiber with around 4.37 grams in each medium-sized apple. If you are looking for an easy-to-consume fruit then this is one of the best options.

  1. Citrus fruits

Citrus fruits are high in fiber. However, make sure to eat them whole and not juice them if you want to consume those healthy fibers. A grapefruit contains around 4 grams of fiber and a regular-sized orange around 3.7 grams.

  1. Kiwi fruit

Kiwi’s have for a long time been used by those suffering from constipation. While a kiwi only has 2.25 grams of fiber, because of the seed concentration it can work wonders for increasing your bowel movement.
