If you are looking to make effective changes in your life then the good thing is that you should not focus on big tasks, but rather develop effective small daily habits that will help you become happier and more successful. The five short habits outlined below will help you have a high return on investment in life, and can often help you feel more fulfilled and happier with your choices. 

  1. Stop worrying about small things

If you are a worrier then chances are even small unimportant things can stick to your mind. It might be hard but practise some techniques for mindfulness to stop worrying and fixating on the small stuff. Instead, try to look at the picture in the long run and you will quickly see how unimportant these small things are. 

  1. Hobbies 

You should always have passions and hobbies that you actively pursue throughout your day. Most people will come alive when they focus on the thing they love. If there was an instrument, language, or type of activity that you have always loved or wanted to learn there is no better time to start than now.

  1. Motivational music

A great way to feel pumped up and motivated about your day is to create a motivational playlist that you can use both when you exercise and during your daily activities. Music can help open you up and make you feel a lot better about the tasks you are performing. 

  1. Focus on learning

Being a lifelong learner is all about focusing on developing the habit to learn. Whether you love reading books and essays or prefer watching documentaries, learning constantly will help you grow as a person. 

  1. One-Tab Working Habit

Instead of trying to constantly multitask you should focus on finishing one single habit before moving on to the next one. This can be great if you want to improve your attention span and ability to focus on an activity for a prolonged period.
